Rental Guidelines

If you choose to rent your RTO home, please be aware of these important guidelines. If you rent your home through a rental management company, please be sure they pass this information on to renters of your Rubicon home.

  • In order for your renter to enjoy the beaches, piers and other amenities you must be current on your annual assessment.

  • Provide your renter with your RTO membership number, and Rubicon address as this is required for signing in at the beaches.

  • Prior to their arrival, advise your renter to thoroughly review the renters section of the RTO website. https://rubicontahoeowners.com/

  • Be aware of El Dorado County Ordinance 5085, Chapter 5.56 (adopted June 2018). This ordinance modifies vacation home rentals in unincorporated El Dorado County. Briefly, the ordinance addresses rental permits, notification requirements, parking, noise, contacts and violations and penalties. The complete ordinance can be found at: www.edcgov.us/Government/building/Pages/ordinance_code.aspx

RTO, Inc. and its Board of Directors are not responsible for ensuring Rubicon homeowners abide by the ordinance and are held harmless for any penalty that may be imposed by El Dorado County for a homeowner’s violation of the ordinance.
