Parking

Parking along roadways is allowed except in designated No Parking signed areas and only to the degree that it does not hinder traffic nor emergency vehicle right of way. Beach parking is very limited and people are encouraged to walk rather than drive to the beach. Boat trailers are not allowed to be parked on roadways.

Traffic

All roadways within the Rubicon subdivision are posted for 15 mph only. Frequently children are at play and walkers use the road regularly and at all hours. Additionally, the lower Rubicon Drive loop is One-Way traffic only from the intersection of Forest Drive near the highway until it intersects at the other end of Forest Drive. Please drive safely to ensure our community members’ safety!

Lights & Noise

Respecting the serenity of the surroundings for other residents and visitors is expected. Outdoor lighting should be kept to a minimum. Please do not play loud music, create noise that can be heard at the property line or engage in disorderly conduct. Consider how you would want visitors to act in your neighborhood back home.

Trash

Most homeowners now have bear proof containers to hold trash. If that is the case be sure to use it. No trash should be left exposed outdoors whether it is in a plastic bag or not. Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal Company picks up trash each Friday.

Pets

Pets should remain on a leash when out walking and are not allowed on the beach during the daytime except to go to and from a boat. Dogs are allowed only before 8:30 am or after 6 pm, if no children present. Please clean up after your pet and dispose of waste at the home where you are staying. Dogs that bark excessively while outdoors should be moved indoors.
