Kayaks & SUPs
Kayaks, Stand-Up Paddleboards (SUPs), and Canoes are popular in Lake Tahoe. Many RTO members enjoy the tranquility of paddling in Rubicon Bay. To keep our beaches clutter-free, Kayak, SUP, and Canoe storage is available for seasonal rental at the South Beach. To leave your Kayak, SUP, or canoe on the South beach overnight, you must rent a storage space for the summer season. Members and renters are not allowed to leave these items on the South beach overnight, if not in a rented storage slot.

Check-in With Beach Attendant
For those that received a slot for the summer, at the beginning of the season, check your watercraft in with the Beach Attendant. They will give you a sticker to place on your watercraft. New registration stickers are issued each season. Be sure your watercraft is clearly marked with your:
Name

Kayak & SUP Rack Locations

Day Use of Watercraft is Permitted
Members that don’t obtain a slot may bring their Kayak, SUP, or Canoe to the beach for day use. Leaving unregistered watercraft at the beach overnight is NOT permitted. The beach attendant has a wheeling cart that you may use to take the watercraft up the beach path.
Sharing a Slot is Encouraged
This is a popular amenity! Spaces are limited; therefore, homeowners are permitted to share slots with other homeowners so long as both homeowners agree to it, the slot is paid in full, and all stored items have the current year sticker.
Slots for Cabin Renters
Cabin Renters are permitted to bring their Kayak, SUP, or Canoe for day use only, unless they have registered and paid for a slot for the season. Storage slots will be granted to homeowners first. If there are remaining slots available, Cabin Renters are permitted to register and pay for a slot.
If you rent your cabin, please let your Cabin Renters know about our policy prior to their stay in Rubicon.
